Winona Y Wong, MD, PhD
In 2006 Mike and I moved back to Hawaii from Boston to have our dear daughter grow up with the love and feeling of community ohana so special in Hawaii. Opening our micro-practice from scratch was a labor of love and has rewarded us with the honor of having known some of the best patients a doctor could ask for. Now that our daughter is off to the mainland for college, Mike and I are going to start a new adventure. Family obligations for aging parent, friends to visit on the Mainland and plans to move to Portugal will give us lots to do in the future.

Mike
Not everyone knew that Mike, in addition to being the office manager, biller, IT specialist, front desk greeter, scheduler and dog walker was also my husband and life partner. He has a Masters degree in Biology, a Ph.D in Cellular biology and worked as a research faculty at Harvard in the field of Neuroscience. He enjoyed getting to know many of our repeat patients and their families. Now he is ready to travel and relax.
Jake
Some of you had the pleasure of meeting Jake, our Corgi. He has been coming to the office since we first got him 7 years ago. He will miss all the love and attention he received on a daily basis. He hopes he brought a smile to your faces, and looks forward to sniffing out new adventures.

Our office ohana included the phenomenally efficient and endlessly cheerful Maryssa. She made our patients feel welcome and always brought a ray of sunshine to the office. She is continuing with her graduate studies towards a Ph.D. in public health and we know she will continue to be successful and work to enrich the lives of all around her.

How lucky were we to have had another great helper in our practice? We wish Dale continued success and happiness as she attends college in the Pacific Northwest.

A special thank you to Ava who brought her cheerful disposition and endless willingness to jump in for the variety of tasks to help our practice thrive.
